Although both scoring models use similar mathematical formula and same number of consumer parameters. Still the credit score for individual varies by few points. This could be due the fat that each credit bureau has difference in reported credit data. Also when Vintage score model was developed there was no input from FICO.
One of the major difference in both scoring model is the range of scoring categories. Vintage score model starts from 501 to 990. Each consumer is rated for Vintage credit score from 501-990. Whereas FICO scoring model rates consumers are rated from 300 to 850. Also new Vintage scoring model gives more freedom and more information to drill down into individual’s credit history.
